Melbourne, Australia

Day 1 – Welcome to Melbourne

From Melbourne Airport, transfer to your city centre hotel where you can relax after your flights.

Your hotel is centrally located and it is easy to take a stroll through the city’s famous laneways, where you will find the city’s best cafés.

Melbourne, Australia

Day 2 – The capital of restaurant life

Explore Melbourne’s vibrant life and visit Federation Square, Bourke Street Mall and Queen Victoria Market.

Melbourne has the best tram network in Australia, and the trams are free to use in the CBD area (please follow the announcements where the free zone ends). I recommend starting your day with the historic Melbourne City Circle tram, which runs around the city and serves as a great introduction tour to Melbourne. It’s free and you don’t need a pre-booking or ticket and you can hop on and off whenever you want.

Melbourne is also known for both good coffee and good food. You will find almost any cuisine of the world as well as world famous restaurateurs and their top restaurants.

Ask for more information so we can help you book a table.

Great Ocean Road, Australia

Day 3 – Great Ocean Road

See one of Australia’s landmarks, the Twelve Apostles, and experience one of the world’s most famous coastal roads.

During the day you will also have the opportunity to meet koalas in the wild. You will get to visit small coastal villages and several beaches. Duration about 12 hours

Uluru, Australia

Day 4 – To the red centre

Leave the hustle and bustle of the big city and fly to the Red Centre of Australia, Ayers Rock.

When you arrive at the Red Centre, take a shuttle transportation from Ayers Rock Airport to the Ayers Rock Resort, where you will stay for the next three nights.

Admire the beautiful landscape of the desert with Australia’s most famous landmark, Uluru in the background.

Tonight, enjoy a dinner under the stars. Dinner begins with canapés and chilled sparkling wine on the sand dunes overlooking Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. When the sun sets and darkness descends, you can listen to the sound of the didgeridoo and meet other travellers at the dinner table, with whom you will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience.

A selection of Australian wine and beer will be served while the first course is served to your table. Enjoy the main course from the chef’s buffet, where there are plenty of options from a freshly prepared, bush tucker-inspired menu.

Your star guide tells you about the stars of the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, zodiac signs, the Milky Way, and planets and galaxies.

Includes:

  • Outback-style appetisers
  • Three-course buffet inspired by bush-tucker (vegetarian food and other dietary options available with advance notice)
  • Beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee
  • A guided tour under the stars
  • Return transportation from your hotel
  • A didgeridoo performance.
Uluru, Australia

Day 5 – Kata Tjuta, Valley of the Winds and Filed of Lights

The morning starts early, and you will take part in a guided excursion to the wonderful dome stones of Kata Tjuta. Admire the colours of the desert as the sun rises while enjoying your morning coffee or tea.

The tour will take you on a guided walk through the Valley of the Winds, and you will learn more about rare desert plants. On the way to Kata Tjuta, our guide talks about the history and geology of the ancient country.

Please note that the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park entrance fee of AUD 25/person must be paid on site. You will join the group, and the duration of the walk is about 2.5 hours.

After the sun goes down, see the Field of Lights. This art piece contains about 50,000 lights in an area the size of more than seven football fields. Beautiful lights shine in different colours as far as the eye can see. Return transportation and entrance tickets are included in the package.

Please note, due to the early morning excursion, breakfast is not included in the package. If you wish, you can buy snacks from the resort’s grocery store and use the resort’s restaurant services when you return from your trip.

Camels

Day 6 – Sunrise, camel safari and towards tropical beaches

Join a morning excursion on a leisurely, guided one-hour camel ride over the red sand dunes in the cool, clear morning air. You’ll see a spectacular sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta while the desert comes alive. The tour leaves about an hour before sunrise, and the return is about 8.30am.

In the afternoon, take your flight to Cairns, where you will be transferred to your city hotel.

The hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance to the Cairns Night Market, the lagoon, and many restaurants.

Whitsunday Islands, Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Day 7 – The Great Barrier Reef

In the morning, join the group and travel to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.

Spend a day snorkelling and explore the world’s largest coral reef system. Alternatively, you can also see the wonders by glass bottom boat without getting wet.

You have six hours to snorkel and dive in two very different reef destinations. You will also have time to relax and admire the true beauty of each site above and below the surface!

If you are interested, you could try scuba diving. Or if you are an experienced diver, please ask and we can help with a diving tour instead.

Kuranda Rainforest

Day 8 – Rainforest and mountains

After breakfast, join a day trip to the rainforest, Kuranda village and crocodile farm.

Admire the spectacular views on the Kuranda Scenic Rail and soar above the rainforest canopy on the Skyrail.

You will stop to take photos of waterfalls and rainforest scenery before visiting the village of Kuranda.

In the afternoon you continue to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures – the best place to see crocodiles in tropical North Queensland.

At Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, you’ll see crocodiles both on land and in the water, take a short boat cruise and meet other local wildlife such as koalas, wallabies and the rare cassowary.

Cairns, Australia

Day 9 – To the capital of the sunshine state

Spend the morning at the Cairns Lagoon, visit the Cairns Aquarium or relax by the pool.

In the afternoon, the journey continues with a flight to Brisbane.

Explore Brisbane’s downtown area at your leisure and visit Southbank and the bustling shopping street of the Queen Street Mall.

Wheel of Brisbane, Australia

Day 10 – Brisbane

Free day in Brisbane.

Brisbane is quite small compared to Sydney or Melbourne. The city area is easy to explore on foot, and we recommend walking along the river from the city centre to the Kangaroo Point cliffs and from there to the South Bank lagoon.

Alternative Brisbane attractions include the bohemian Fortitude Valley area, a day trip to Moreton Island where you can feed dolphins in the sea, and the museums and galleries of Southbank.

Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia

Day 11 – To Sydney

In the morning, the journey continues to the last but perhaps the most awaited destination, Sydney.

Your hotel is centrally located, from where it is a short, easy to walk to the famous Sydney Opera House.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney, Australia

Day 12 – Sydney life

If you like walking, I recommend the beautiful waterfront walk from Woolloomooloo to Anzac Bridge. This 11 km route passes through several landmarks, including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour.

Stop for lunch at one of the many Barangaroo restaurants or visit the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium.

Other attractions in Sydney include Chinatown, the Botanical Gardens, the Taronga Zoo or the historical Rocks area.

Or perhaps take a ferry ride to Manly beach or visit the Sydney Tower, which offers stunning views?

Blue Mountains, Australia

Day 13 – The Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park

Join for a small group tour to the Blue Mountains and see the wonderful landscapes and rainforests of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights of the day include the Three Sisters views and a visit to Scenic World.

At Scenic World, you can experience two different cable cars, the world’s steepest train and several walking trails.

You’ll also visit Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you’ll get up close and personal with native Australian animals such as kangaroos and koalas.

Day 14 – Where next?

The tour ends, but where are you traveling to next?

Breakfast and transportation to the airport are included in the package. If you wish, we can add the next destination or additional days in Sydney.

Feel free to contact us and let’s start planning together!
