Day 1. Welcome to Auckland.

On your arrival, private transportation will take you to your downtown hotel. Explore the downtown area, take a ferry to historic Devonport, or enjoy dinner at one of the many waterfront restaurants around the Wynyard Quater or Princes Wharf.

Day 2. Day in Auckland

Spend a day in New Zealand's largest city and visit Auckland's Sky Tower where you will have magnificent views across the city and the harbour.

Then in the afternoon, you could visit Auckland War Memorial Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of New Zealand and the Maori people.

Have a dinner at  one of the many restaurants in the Parnell area or take a taxi to Ponsonby.

Day 3. Day trip to black beaches of Piha.

In the morning, the driver will meet you at the hotel and you will start your day trip to the west coast. You get to visit the rainforest and the beaches and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Piha is a small coastal village about an hour’s drive from Auckland. The beach is known for its black sand and great surfing.

You will also visit the subtropical rainforest and waterfalls of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park.

Return to Auckland in the afternoon.

Day 4. Volcanoes, islands and wine

Get on the ferry and travel to nearby Waiheke Island. Once you arrive on the island, you will meet your guide who will take you to the vineyards.

After lunch, you will have time to spend an afternoon on the island where you can shop, explore or swim (in the summertime) until your return ferry to Auckland.

Waiheke Island is the second largest island in Hauraki Gulf and also the most densely populated island. Many locals also have their own holiday houses on the island, and no wonder, as the scenery is stunning and the island is just a short ferry ride from the bustling centre of Auckland.

The ferry to and from the island, guided winery tour, wine tasting and lunch are included in the package.

Day 5. To the Hot Springs

In the morning you will meet your driver and the journey will continue to the caves of Waitomo. Here you join a tour with a local group where you can admire the cave roof illuminated by glow worms like a starry sky.

The Waitomo Cave network includes three caves, each with its own unique experience. The caves are known for their glow worms, extensive underground river system and magnificent stalactites.

All the caves are different and you have options to choose from when planning your trip. The most popular option is to do a Black Water Rafting in the cave while admiring the Glow worms.

More relaxed options are also available. For example, Ruakuri Cave is the only cave in the southern hemisphere with unobstructed access for wheelchair users. The Waitomo Caves offer something for everyone.

After the tour, the journey continues to Rotorua, where you will spend the next two nights.

Day 6. Geysers and mud masks

Spend the day in Rotorua, relax at the hot springs, see the geyser and explore the Maori culture.

Pamper yourself with the world-famous Rotorua mud mask or various spa treatments (not included in the package).

Day 7. To the capital

Transfer to the airport and continue with a flight to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.

Transportation to downtown hotel.

Days 8 and 9. Wellington

There is lots to do and see in the capital of New Zealand:
  • Learn about the history and interactive stories at the Te Papa Museum.
  • Take the historic cable car and admire the scenery from Kelburn’s vantage point.
  • Meet Kiwis and other New Zealand animals at the Zealandia Ecosanctuary.
  • See costumes used in famous movies (e.g. From the Lord of the Rings) at the tour on Weta Studio.
  • Go for a 4WD seal and nature safari.
  • Discover the region’s diverse wines and join a vineyard tour.
  • And much more, as there is something for everyone to see and do in Wellington.
