The unified line from east to west was completed in 1969, and the Indian Pacific remains one of the longest and most spectacular train journeys in the world. This iconic train journey travels across Australia from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean from Perth to Sydney or vice versa.
Along the way, you will see the stunning scenery from the mountains to the desert, historic as well as famous cities and also Australian wildlife in their own natural habitats.
The route runs from Perth to Sydney, via Adelaide or vice versa.

Cook’s Hospital is closed and the pool is empty, but you have the opportunity to walk around the city, where only four people live permanently today.

Get off the train in the middle of nowhere at Rawlinna. You will enjoy roast lamb dinner under the stars at the one of Australian largest sheep farms (weather permitting). During the hottest months, dinner is served on the train, after which you can enjoy performances outdoors under the stars.

Experience the gold rush in the mining town of Kalgoorlie. When Paddy Hannan found gold here in 1893, Australia’s biggest gold rush began. You will visit Hannan’s North Tourist mine, where you will see a short play.
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise in Rawlinna, where you get off the train and enjoy your morning coffee, tea or juice.
