Day 7 Where to next?
Day 1. Welcome to Dunedin
After your arrival, private transportation will take you to your hotel.
Relax or get your bearings around the wildlife capital of New Zealand.
Day 2. Historic Dunedin
Explore the historic centre with its Victorian and Edwardian architecture, visit the ToitÅ« Otago Settlers Museum or Olveston’s historic home.
One must visit destination is the Railway Station, as this historic building is one of New Zealand’s most photographed buildings.
You can also take a trip to Larnach Castle, the only castle in New Zealand.
Alternatively, join a day tour to meet the wildlife. Dunedin is inhabited by many rare animals such as king albatrosses, yellow-eyed penguins and blue penguins. You will also find New Zealand Fur Seals and Sea Lions in the area.
Day 3. To the Adventure Capital
In the morning you will join a bus to Queenstown. Just relax and enjoy the scenery on this 3.5 hour scenic drive.
Day 4 & 5. Queenstown
There’s plenty to do in Queenstown! Start with the gondola up the mountain right from the town centre where you will see the town, lake and mountains. Or join a cruise on Lake Wakatipu on the steamboat TTS Earnslaw.
For the bravest, there are options for bungee-jumping or skydiving, jetboating, rafting, ziplining or mountain biking.
More relaxed activities are also available, such as fishing, canoeing, cycling or visiting the area’s vineyards.
In summer you can also play golf in the stunning scenery and in winter you can go skiing on the area’s several ski slopes.
You will also find several good restaurants in Queenstown. I recommend trying Stratosfare Restaurant, which offers stunning views. Ask more when you book your trip and we can help you make a table reservation.
Alternatively, ask about scenic flights over the mountains, glaciers and fjords.
Day 6. Milford Sounds
Today you start early in the morning and travel with the group to Milford Sound. The tour includes a shuttle bus, a cruise on the fjord and a light lunch.
Note. Tour duration is about 12 hours, return in the evening.
Päivä 7. Where to next?
Final morning in Queenstown and your next journey awaits.
Breakfast and airport transfers are included in your package. Ask about additional flights or accommodation options at your next destination.
PLEASE NOTE:
The itinerary is mostly an independent tour. All hotel reservations, breakfasts and the mentioned transfers, excursions or meals are included in the package.
